Why are Spay and Neuter Procedures Important?

Veterinarians recommend spay and neuter procedures for dogs and cats. The following are some of the benefits:

Prevent life-threatening infections and cancers related to the reproductive organs

Eliminate the pregnancy and delivery complications

Eliminates or reduces the effect of certain aggressive behaviors in pets

No cases of unplanned pet pregnancies

The procedures are safe and effective

When to Spay or Neuter Your Pets?

Our veterinarians recommend that pet owners have their pets neutered or spayed when they are young. The procedure is best done for dogs between 6 and 9 months. Note that different breeds of dogs work differently, so consult with our veterinarians on when to do the procedure. If you have an adult dog and don’t know if the surgery is possible, call our animal clinic for assistance. You can spay or neuter cats at the most recommended time, between  5 and 6 months.
